Chicago Union Station

Project Summary:

Over the course of ten years, Milord Company completed major renovation projects to the historic Chicago Union Station Great Hall and Associated facilities. Approximately 200,000 people a day pass through this facility and it’s labyrinth of underground pathways, tracks and platforms. Milord’s work stretched virtually across the entire Chicago Loop from north to south. The projects encompassed historical renovations and refurbishing of the classic Great Hall interior; significant structural repairs of the limestone facades; replacement of miles of underground track with direct fixation CWR; replacement of miles of platforms; complete replacement of the south concourse historic skylights; cutting in a new glass elevator and creating an interior feature fountain. Milord met every challenge working closely with Chicago Union Station Company and Amtrak to keep schedules on track.
