Project Summary:

As the design-builder Milord developed this pizza & ingredients processing, USDA inspected, building addition for a new high-speed pizza line. The design provided  room for a second high-speed line added in 2009. Building construction was load bearing precast lined with stainless steel insulated wall & ceiling panels. An interstitial walk-on ceiling space at 20’-0 A.F.F. holds all piping ventilation to eliminate all horizontal runs in rooms. Milord had to maintain the plant’s existing operations while tying the new addition into the existing plant that Milord constructed in 1996. Work included switching from a nitrogen IQF spiral freezer to a new ammonia spiral freezer. The building accommodates both baking, meat and cheese production, sauce production, pack off and frozen storage. Milord has completed multiple other projects for this client including branded restaurants and developments.
