Meat Processing Plant Addition

Project Summary:

This project was a processing addition that doubled the client’s capacity to grind, form, freeze, package and ship hamburger patties and pork rib sections.  It involved a new structure built in between two existing buildings, connecting them seamlessly while keeping the plant in full operation. 

Significant ammonia refrigeration was added for the two new in-line quick freezer conveyors by Frigoscandia, and a new high-flow shipping freezer.  The holding freezer used a penthouse evaporator arrangement.  A full framework of structural steel was added above the roof to transfer the new rooftop pipe loads to the columns. 

Milord Company continues to perform work for the owner today.
