Project Summary:
This project is a new greenfield USDA meat rendering facility in LaPorte, Indiana. This facility that Milord designed and built included processing, drum freezing, cold storage, tanker loading, truck scale, truck docks, along with corporate offices. A new processed oil internal storage tank farm with auto-fill pipe bridge for tanker shipping; a new ammonia refrigeration system and process steam system were installed. Also a full waste treatment DAF systems was completed. Milord provided all services, including the strictly choreographed relocation of the owner’s equipment from the Chicago plant in a single weekend.
